The Eagle Range Estate Vineyard is located near the town of Ovens in Victoria’s Alpine Valley. The land had previously been used for a variety of enterprises over the years including cattle, hay, chestnut and walnut trees, but the winemaking venture had long been in the back of winemaker Frank Ivone's mind, with the first vines planted in 1995.
The Red Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 shows flavours of black currant and berry fruits. Dusty oak characteristics on the nose and palate, with complex tannins and a long finish, this wine is easy drinking.
Combine with traditional roasts and savoury meals. Cellar for two years or enjoy now. Consume with good friends, good food and boisterous conversation. This wine is aged in American barrel oak.
