John Gehrig - Pinot Meunier 2021

With four generations of winemaking behind them, John Gehrig focuses on producing the best grapes to produce wines of distinction. The Pinot Meunier is one of the three permitted varietals allowed in Champagne production but is rarely seen as a single varietal wine. With some Australian ingenuity light and medium bodied reds are being produced.

The John Gehrig Pinot Meunier 2021 has the aroma of native peppercorn and mushroom. A medium bodied dry red showing distinctive Pinot fruit characters with subtle acid and firm tannins. 

Lovely in summer where it can be paired with smokey BBQ meats, or with light game such as venison or quail. For something different chill and serve with a platter of robust cheeses and antipasti.
