King River Estate - Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

The King River Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is traditional to the style with stewed black cherries, blackberry and fruit cake aroma.  The Sauvignon is full of fruit on the palate, balanced with firm persistent tannins that have been mellowed by extended time in both bottle and barrel.  This gives the wine a lovely soft medium length finish.

The perfect accompaniment to a fattier cut of steak like sirloin or ribeye, rich braised red meat dishes, garlic butter roast mushrooms, and a range of cheeses including harder and aged cheeses.

King River Estate is located on the banks of the King River in the King Valley and uses a traditional yet innovative approach to winemaking allowing for natural fermentation resulting in complex, soft and textural wines.
