King River Estate - Sangiovese

A classic Italian wine in the Chianti style. The King River Estate Sangiovese 2017 can be served in two ways. For a summer refresher, chill right down to about 8 degrees, alternatively serve more traditionally at room temperature. The Sangiovese is medium bodied, with the aroma of wild blackberries, cloves and tobacco and a palate of violets and savour spice.

King River Estate is located on the banks of the King River in the King Valley and uses a traditional yet innovative approach to winemaking allowing for natural fermentation resulting in complex, soft and textural wines.

If serving chilled pair with BBQ meats and vegetables and pour over fresh sliced peaches for something a little different! If serving at room temperature, it pairs well with a classic woodfired pizza.
