La Cantina, is a small family owned and run winery in the King Valley that produces preservative free, vegan friendly wines using methods passed down through the generations. The focus is on showcasing the full characteristics of each grape variety.
The La Cantina Saperavi 2019 is a full bodied, bold wine with a deep purple colour. The Saperavi grape originated in Georgia (Eastern Europe) where it is mostly still produced, with a few producers also in Australia. The aroma is of red berry, with earthy and smoky undertones and a rich, firm tannin and high acidity.
Pair with rich stews and hearty meals, such as duck or mushroom ragu. Also great with a hard flavourful cheese.
