Piano Piano - Reserve Merlot 2019

A luxurious wine, the Piano Piano Reserve Merlot is a deep red colour with soft red edges and a dark plum, cherry oak fragrance. It provides a pleasant burst of sweet red plum fruit and an otherwise serious and structured palate. It is balanced with some ripe tannins. 

Sourced from a premium vineyard in the Beechworth Hills which is at an altitude of 320m and in close proximity to the family vineyard in Beechworth, North East Victoria.  This block was specifically chosen for its ability to grow Merlot grapes with varietal definition, intensity, power and elegance.

Versatile to match to, it will be complimented by rich red meat dishes, pork loin, and dishes that include berry-based sauces and cheese platters that include Blue cheese or Gorgonzola.

Piano Piano means "slowly slowly" in Italian and reflects the time and care taken by Marc Scalzo and Lisa Hernan in developing their wines. They produce fine wines that deserve to be savoured and enjoyed.
